To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question. I'm running Logic Pro X On both of them, I can't seem to find the speech enhancers, denoiser or groove shifter plugins - I think they're supposed to be under the "Specialized" menu, but all that's there is Exciter and SubBass.

I may be missing other plugins as well. Any ideas as to how I should proceed? Posted on Feb 6, AM. Feb 6, AM. Are they deprecated now, then? Is there a better way of doing noise reduction in Logic that I'm missing? Not really sure I suspect so though however, given they are in the legacy section and 'hidden' away.

It may be, there will be future replacements for the specific ones you mentioned.. Similar to the new EQ's or Bass Amp stuff.. You're a gentleman and a scholar. If you use Denoiser too aggressively, however, the algorithm produces artifacts, which are usually less desirable than the existing noise. If using Denoiser produces these artifacts, you can use the three Smoothing knobs to reduce or eliminate them. See Denoiser controls in Final Cut Pro. Each 6 dB reduction halves the volume level, and each 6 dB increase doubles it.

This reduces the noise by more than 10 dB, to less than half its original volume. Graphic display: Shows how the lowest volume level signals in your audio material, which are mostly or entirely noise, are reduced. Anyone who records audio will know good and well how tedious it can be to edit the undesirable noise out of a recording. It is a basic tool you can use to remove the unwanted noise in an audio region. Using a series of basic controls, you can influence the way with which that determination is made. In other words, Logic will analyze the file automatically for you, and then using the visual aid provided, we can adjust the Threshold, Minimum Time, Pre-Attack, and Post-Release settings to ensure it is only removing the parts of the file we want.

At which point, the audio region will then get automatically chopped up — the original performance otherwise untouched — into new regions with all of the unwanted or noisy areas in the original selection removed.

Threshold is how we adjust the sensitivity. It is used to define the amplitude or loudness a waveform must exceed in order to be considered a region, as opposed to noise that will be removed. In other words, you can use this control in tandem with the visual aid to determine what parts of the audio region to keep and what to remove represented by the grayed-out portions as seen above.

You can think of the following three perimeters as ways to fine-tune the setting you have made on the Threshold. Minimum Time to accept as Silence is used to define the length of time an area of your selected audio region must be under the set Threshold нажмите чтобы перейти be considered noise.

Pre-Attack Time and Post-Release Tim e allow us to adjust to beginning and end point of each of the newly created regions.
